Obituary for Gertrude A. Michaels
Gertrude A. Michaels, 96, Cherished daughter of the late Joseph and late Harriet Michalski; fond sister of Evelyn (late Charles) Wascher and late Ann Michalski; loving aunt of Thomas (Pamela), Mark (Gail), Jeffrey (Juli) and Gregory (Deborah) Wascher; great aunt of Lauren, Zackary and Max Wascher. Gertrude served for 40 years as an original member of the St. Mary of Czestochowa Youth Center Board of Directors, was active for many years in the St. Mary's CCD religious program, was a 39 year member of St. Mary's choir and rolled bandages during World War II with the parish Red Cross unit. Visitation will be on Friday, June 22nd. from 8 - 10:30 A.M. at Suburban Family Funeral Home 5940 W. 35th. St. (Corner of 35th. St & Austin) Cicero. An 11:00 A.M. Mass will follow at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church. Entombment Queen of Heaven Mausoleum. For additional information, call 708-652-1116.
